Personal statement and why I am the right person for City Council:

Born in Mallow in 1983 I moved to Wilton 5 years ago with my family, I am a qualified sheet metal fabricator but am left unemployed for the past 4 years.

Struggling to get unemployment assistance and a domiciliary allowance for my autistic son opened my eyes to the bureaucracy entailed in getting what one is entitled to – it has started me questioning everything.

Involvement in protests, against the bank bondholder ‘bailout’, the LPT and other issues made me realise we need to move away from Party politics.

I believe that the media have not given fair coverage, constantly repeating the official view and almost never raising the question of democracy.

Let me be your voice at local level to ensure that the people have the say in running our great county, you will be consulted.

I understand firsthand the problems facing our society and the economy, and the need for its development on a sustainable basis – to serve Ireland.

It is my civic duty to serve, if you choose that.
